Iverson rallies Nuggets past Grizzlies (AP)

Trailing by seven points with 3:12 left, the Denver Nuggets didn’t panic. They made veteran plays. The Memphis Grizzlies were hurt by their youth. Allen Iverson had 32 points and 12 assists Wednesday night, and the Nuggets used a late run to beat the Grizzlies 106-102. “This was a big win for us at somebody else’s home,” Iverson said.

LeBron James’ reverse layup with less than a second left gave Cleveland an 84-83 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, the Cavaliers’ fifth straight win on the road. Portland led by as many as 14 points in the second half, but the Cavaliers closed in as time ran down. James, who had 37 points and 14 rebounds, hit three consecutive 3-pointers to tie it 81 with 2:26 left.

Warriors snap Hornets’ 9-game win streak (AP)

Baron Davis heard boos every time he touched the ball, right up until he sent the crowd to the exits with a game-sealing 3-pointer. Stephen Jackson scored 26 points, Davis added 23, and the Golden State Warriors beat New Orleans 116-103 Wednesday night to snap the Hornets’ nine-game winning streak. “Nobody likes to get booed,” Davis said.

Timberwolves win ugly, 83-67 over Bulls (AP)

The Toronto Raptors didn’t have to wait long for another shot at Washington, and they certainly took advantage of it. Andrea Bargnani scored 19 points, Chris Bosh had 16 and Toronto used a big second quarter and a flurry of 3-pointers to beat the Wizards 122-83 on Wednesday night. The 39-point margin of victory matched the biggest in team history, a 112-73 win over Atlanta on April 12, 2002.

Sixers earn biggest Wachovia Center win (AP)

Andre Iguodala scored 18 points and Andre Miller had 14 to lead Philadelphia to a 112-69 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night, the 76ers’ largest win in 12 seasons at the Wachovia Center. Thaddeus Young scored 14 points for the Sixers, who won for only the fourth time in the last 15 games.
